Getting the Soreness Out: Why Elevating Your Life Feels So Uncomfortable at First

Have you ever caught yourself thinking…

“I know I’m meant for more… but why does actually going for it feel so uncomfortable?”

That was me.

Not because I didn’t have the ideas.
Not because I didn’t have the skills.
But because every time I got close to showing up in a bigger way… it felt unfamiliar.

And instead of recognizing that as growth, I kept interpreting it as a sign to pause.

But here’s what I had to realize:

Nothing was wrong.

I was just sore.

What “Getting the Soreness Out” Really Means

You know how, when you start working out again after a long break?

Everything feels tight.
Uncomfortable.
Even simple movements feel harder than they should.

But it’s not because your body can’t do it.

It’s because you haven’t been using those muscles consistently.

That’s exactly what happens when you start elevating your life.

When you:

  • Start showing up online

  • Start speaking your ideas out loud

  • Start creating instead of consuming

  • Start making decisions that align with the life you actually want

It’s going to feel uncomfortable.

Not because it’s wrong…

…but because it’s new.

The Part That Almost Made Me Stop

A few weeks ago, I was sitting there overthinking everything.

My YouTube channel.
My setup.
My description.
My delivery.

All of it.

And if I’m being honest, I realized I was trying to make everything perfect before I allowed myself to fully show up.

But perfection wasn’t the issue.

Avoidance was.

I hadn’t “used” that version of myself in a while—the one who just shows up, speaks, creates, and lets it be enough.

So of course it felt uncomfortable.

I was sore.

Why Most Women Stay Stuck Right Here

This is the part no one really explains.

We don’t stop because we’re incapable.

We stop because we misinterpret the feeling.

We think:

  • “Maybe I’m not ready”

  • “Maybe this isn’t for me”

  • “Maybe I need more time”

When really…

You just haven’t built the consistency yet.

And the only way to get past that feeling?

Is to keep showing up through it.

This Is Bigger Than Just Income

Yes, I want you to elevate your income.

But more than that…

I want you to elevate how you see yourself.

Because when I started thinking about the creator space and how much opportunity is out here, I had a moment with myself:

“If I want a piece of this… I have to show up like someone who belongs here.”

Not later.
Not when everything is perfect.
Now.

And that required me to stop waiting… and start moving.

If You’d Rather Watch This, I Break It Down Here

If this is hitting for you and you want to hear me talk through it in real time, I shared this whole concept in my recent YouTube video:

👉🏽 Getting the Soreness Out (watch here)

This is where I walk through what it actually looks like to push past that resistance and start showing up differently, even when it feels uncomfortable.

What This Looks Like for You

This doesn’t mean doing everything at once.

It means choosing to:

  • Show up before you feel ready

  • Share your ideas before they feel perfect

  • Take action before you feel fully confident

Because confidence doesn’t come before the movement.

It comes from it.

The Shift That Changes Everything

Instead of asking yourself:

“Why does this feel so hard?”

Start asking:

“Is this just a muscle I haven’t used yet?”

Because once you see it that way…

You stop running from the discomfort
…and start working through it.

One Last Thing

You’re not behind.

You’re not starting over.

You’re just activating a version of you that hasn’t been fully used yet.

And yes…

It might feel uncomfortable at first.

But that’s not a stop sign.

That’s just soreness.
